The iOS 17 has been the talk of the town recently, it was released on the 17th of September after months of beta testing. Let’s see some of the cool features it has according to www.apple.com and www.macrumours.com
AIRDROP – Swap numbers with NameDrop
Hold your iPhone near someone else’s iPhone or Apple Watch to use NameDrop. You’ll both be able to choose the specific phone numbers or email addresses you want to share, and you can share them along with your Contact Poster instantly.
INTERACTIVE WIDGET
The iOS 17 introduces interactive widgets that allow you to take action directly from the home screen with just a tap. These widgets are far more useful than before, adding a new interactive element that allows you to use them from the Lock Screen, Home Screen, or StandBy interface without having to open up an app. You can customize your home screen by adding interactive widgets that provide quick access to app features and information.
KEYBOARD CHANGES (autocorrect)
iOS 17 is using updated machine learning technology for improved autocorrect. Predictions are better than before, and autocorrect learns more about your habits as you use it. Autocorrect is also able to give you grammar suggestions in addition to spelling suggestions.
PHOTO ARRANGEMENT
The Photos app is now able to better recognize people, plus it can distinguish between different pets so you can add your cats and dogs to the People album (which is now the Pets and People album).
SAFARI AND PASSWORD – Create a profile
Keep your browsing separate for topics like Work and Personal with different profiles in Safari. Profiles help you separate your history, extensions, Tab Groups, cookies, and favourites. You can quickly switch between profiles as you browse.
Private browsing has been also enhanced as you can now lock your browsing windows when you are not using them.
Known trackers will now be completely blocked.
DOWNLOAD MAPS TO USE OFFLINE
Save an area of a map to your iPhone and explore it while offline. View information like hours and ratings on place cards and get turn-by-turn directions for driving, walking, cycling, or riding transit.
HEALTH APP
In iOS 17, Apple has introduced a new feature that allows you to track your emotions daily, providing you with an overall picture of your mental well-being. You can log your mood at different times throughout the day and input an overall mood for the day using the Health app. This feature can be accessed through Health app notifications or the Apple Watch
IMPROVED FACETIME EXPERIENCE
Facetime now allows you to leave video or audio messages when someone misses your call, add fun 3D augmented reality effects to your reactions, and use your iPhone as a camera for Facetime calls on Apple TV
